"ACTTCT/???/ CAGTGG" (2019)
"ACTTCT/???/ CAGTGG" was composed for and performed at the University of Rochester's dance show, S.E.E.D. ("Spring Explorations and Experimental Dances") on April 13 & 14, 2019. S.E.E.D. explored various social-political topics through original dance choreography-music composition collaborations. Choreographed by UR dance faculty Mariah Steele in collaboration with the dancers, "ACTTCT/???/ CAGTGG" is set in four scenes and explores the scientific and ethical dimensions of the recent news on genetically modified human babies (November 28, 2018) and its potential consequences to the society. The title of the dance was named by Mariah and references the names of the DNAs. Read more about this on the New York Times article.
